BILINGUAL (Spanish/English) EARLY INTERVENTION SPECIAL EDUCATOR (DEVELOPMENTAL EVALUATOR/TEAM LEADER)
Company Description
Los Niсos Services is an award winning multilingual agency serving young children with special needs and their families in New York City and Westchester County. Our mission is to be of great service to others. We specialize in providing evaluations, services, service coordination, and ABA services through the Early Intervention Program and Preschool Special Education. We also provide specialized training on evaluating infants and toddlers and produce the annual Young Child Expo & Conference with Fordham University. Founded in 1998 by 2 bilingual psychologists, the company employs over 300 staff and serves over 1500 families annually. See website for further background.
We are seeking a full-time bilingual (English/Spanish) NYS certified Special Education teacher to join our Evaluation Department as a Developmental Evaluator/Team Leader. The ideal candidate will become a key member of our dynamic team and help to identify infants and toddlers with disabilities to ensure they receive early help.
Job Qualifications
- Must have- NYS certification as a Special Education teacher or as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (birth-second grade).
- Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Team player, positive attitude, and strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
- Computer proficient
- Ability and willingness to perform home-based early intervention developmental evaluations in NYC.
- Passion to help others and willing to serve children from all communities in NYC.
